Grande Comunità
Music as a driver of social cohesion
Through the Grande Comunità project, the Teatro Grande maintains a year-round presence across the province of Brescia, using music to create a lasting, interconnected cultural network. The project brings opportunities for celebration, reflection, and engagement to spaces dedicated to care, solidarity, and support for those facing hardship.
The Teatro Grande brings the magic of music to hospitals, reception and support centres for vulnerable individuals, nursing homes, prisons, and other socially disadvantaged settings. These institutions are part of the network established by Teatro Grande in 2018, which today includes 18 members alongside the Fondazione del Teatro Grande.
The Fondazione aims to ensure that these events maintain the quality and depth of the artistic programme, promoting encounter, equality, and the cohesion of a community united by the beauty of art.
Moreover, guests of these institutions have the opportunity to attend the shows organised by the theatre free of charge throughout the year, fostering an ongoing exchange that creates moments of shared joy.
