Theatre access information

Only children aged 4 and over are admitted to performances, with the exception of events specifically aimed at children.

Animals of any size are not permitted in the Theatre, with the exception of guide dogs for blind and visually impaired people.

Food and drink from outside are not permitted. All food and drink must be consumed exclusively in the Caffè del Teatro Grande - Berlucchi area.

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited throughout the Theatre.

Performance access information

Admission is permitted from 45 minutes before the start of performances in the Sala Grande, and from 30 minutes before the start of performances in the Ridotto del Teatro Grande, the Salone delle Scenografie and the Sala Palcoscenico Borsoni.

For performances in the Sala Grande, the Caffè del Teatro Grande - Berlucchi is open until the start of the performance or until the end of the interval.

We recommend that audience members arrive at the venue no later than 20 minutes before the start of the performance.

Admission to all performances will be granted upon presentation of a paper ticket or an electronic ticket directly from your smartphone at the entrance. The ticket, valid exclusively for the event, date and time for which it was issued, cannot be duplicated if lost.

Admission to the Theatre is not permitted once the performance has begun. Latecomers must wait until the first interval to take their seats. Audience members are required to occupy their assigned seats. It is not permitted to occupy seats other than those assigned, even once the performance has begun or after the intermission.

A free cloakroom service is available to audience members, who are invited to leave bulky items of any kind there.

Accessibility

People with disabilities who use wheelchairs and wish to attend performances are welcome to contact the Ticket Office before their visit.

The areas of the Theatre accessible to wheelchair users are: the Sala Grande (stalls only), the Foyer, the Caffè del Teatro Grande - Berlucchi and the Sala delle Statue.

Accessible entrance in Piazzetta Paganora (please ring the bell on the door). To facilitate access to the upper floors, please note there is an accessible lift in Via Paganora, 19.

How to buy your ticket

At the Ticket Office

The Teatro Grande accepts payment for tickets and season tickets by cash, debit card, credit card and cheque.
The ticket office accepts bookings by email and telephone during opening hours. Payment for bookings must be made within one week of booking, either in person at the ticket office or remotely by bank transfer, subject to prior agreement with the ticket office.

Online

Tickets can be purchased online at vivaticket.it.

Discounts and concessions

Specific discounts are available for over-65s, under-30s and students for events in the season. We recommend checking the information sheets for individual events to confirm the discounts that apply.

Discounts and concessions | Disabilities

To ensure appropriate support, people with disabilities wishing to attend performances should contact the Teatro Grande ticket office.

Free admission is available for people with disabilities who hold a Disability Card or equivalent document. Any accompanying persons are entitled to a 50% discount on the standard ticket price.

General terms and conditions of sale

Tickets purchased cannot be refunded or exchanged.

All prices shown include tax. The sale of tickets by unauthorised persons is prohibited. In accordance with Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679, the confidentiality of personal data is guaranteed, and such data will be used exclusively for the distribution of tickets, season tickets or communications relating to the Theatre itself.

In the event of a performance being cancelled, tickets will be refunded in full within 5 days of the date of the cancelled performance, directly at the box office. We recommend, however, that you consult the performance information sheets for precise details on ticketing procedures.
