Opera and Ballet 2018 Season will open with one of the most popular titles of Puccini repertory, Tosca, that is back to Teatro Grande after 6 years on 28th (8.30 p.m.) and 30th (3.30 p.m.). Entirely set up in Brescia, Tosca is a new production with direction by Andrea Cigni, active in Opera settings with several productions both in Italy and abroad, and in OperaLombardia circuit as well. In the cast also Dario Gessati for scenes, Lorenzo Cutùli for costumes and Fiammetta Baldiserri for lights. The Orchestra will be conducted by Valerio Galli that debuted in Opera conducting with a Puccini’s title in 2007 during 53° Puccini Festival, where he won the “Maschera d’oro” award as rising young conductor. He attended the most prestigious international Theatres and in 2017 Season he was at Teatro Grande for the Gala dedicated to soprano Daniela Dessì. The cast is composef of Virginia Tola and Charlotte-Anne Shipley as Floria Tosca, Mario Cavaradossi will be played by Luciano Ganci and Mikheil Sheshaberidze, Scarpia by Angelo Veccia and Devid Cecconi, Il Sagrestano by Nicolò Ceriani. With them also Nicola Pamio (Spoletta), Luca Gallo (Cesare Angelotti) and Stefano Cianci (Sciarrone).
