A digital platform with a new look and new content, best able to convey the diversity of the activities of the Teatro Grande.
Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot will open the 2016 Opera Season with a setting of Giuseppe Frigeni, already realized for Modena Teatro Comunale.
The performance will debut on 30th September at 20.30 and will be replayed on 2nd October at 15.30.
Turandot – that is back on the stage after eight years – continues tha Puccini’s itinerary begun a distinctive mark in Brescia Opera season. After last successfull collaborations, the direction of IPomeriggi Musicali Orchestra is entrusted to Carlo Goldstein that is certainly among the young Italian directors that are establishing for talent and sensitivity, in national and international contests.
Direction and scenes are coordinated by Giuseppe Frigeni that gives to Puccini’s masterpiece a traditional and elegan style, with particular focus on drama relations. Costumes are made by Amélie Haas, and lights are reclaimed by the beautiful work of Guido Levi. The cast will include important names and young talents: for the title Teresa Romano – her debut in this role – and Lilla Lee – that already interpreted this part – will alternate; voices of Alejandro Roy and Amadi Lagha will be involved in Calaf role, Maria Teresa Leva is back as Liù and Alessandro Spina as Timur, afetr theri success in La Bohème; as Ping we will listent toLeo An, Saverio Pugliese and Edoardo Milletti will be Pang and Pong.
The two recitals are preceded by students preview on 28th september at 17.00, reserved to schools audience.
