Georges Bizet Carmen is one of the most beloved operas, and has been missing in the teatro Grande programme for 9 years. The Orchestral conducting is curated by Carlo Goldstein, who is among the Italian conductors that are established for talent and sensitivity in national and international Opera scene. The staging of Rouen Haute-Normandie Teatro dell’Opéra will be directed by Frédéric Roels, who will will introduce a very contemporary version of the opera. Sets are by Bruno de Lavenère, costumes curated by Lionel Lesire, lights by Laurent Castaingt and choreography is by Sergio Simon. In the title role the voice of Na’ama Goldman, the established mezzo-soprano from Tel Aviv is anticipated. Besides her are Maria Teresa Leva, Claudia Sasso and Arina Alexeeva, as Micaela, Frasquita and Mercedes respectively. The male roles are attributed to Luciano Ganci (Don José), Zoltan Nagy (Escamillo), Davide Fersini (Dancairo), Roberto Covatta (Remendado), Gabriele Nani (Moralès) and Federico Benetti (Zuniga).
