Deproducers | Botanica

Botanica is the new show of Deproducers, the exceptional musical group formed by some of the most influential artists of the Italian music scene such as Vittorio Cosma, Riccardo Sinigallia, Gianni Maroccolo and Max Casacci. After the success of Planetario – which has turned into music the universe, the stars and the moon – the Deproducers continue to link music and science to tell, this time, the wonders of the plant world. Botanica is an innovative and engaging project in which Deproducers and Prof. Stefano Mancuso – one of the most important international botanical researchers – through unpublished songs and music themes, original screenplay by Marino Capitanio and Peter Bottazzi’s scenery will unveil the “senses” of plants and turn them into a story. Plants “feel”, experience emotions, develop strategies, and make decisions. Guitar, bass and keyboards continuously exchange roles to give voice to plants’ breaths, rain drops falling on leaves or animals moving in the forest.
