Teatro Grande di Brescia

La Cenerentola

La Cenerentola (Cinderella), in the bicentenary of its first performance that took place in Rome Teatro Valle in January 1817, will inaugurate Teatro Grande of Brescia 2017 Season with a new staging of OperaLombardia Circuit.

Rossini’s masterpiece, realised in only three weeks, is back in Teatro Grande after 7 years, in a staging that – as told by Arturo Cirillo director – « moves in a web made of contrasts, between baroque quiddity and linearity of industrial architecture, between abstract fable and concrete female submission. A world at the edge of driving itself crazy, by the notes of Rossini music that never gives a rest. A constant costumes play where only who remain themselves win». Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra conducting is attributed to young and renowned Lin Yi-Chen. Scenes are curated by Dario Gessati, costumes by Vanessa Sannino and lights by Daniele Naldi. The conduction of the Choir is attributed to Maestro Massimo Fiocchi Malaspina. As planned Ruzil Gatin will perfom in the role of Don Ramiro, Vincenzo Taormina as Don Magnifico, Clemente Antonio Daliotti as Dandini. As the sisters Clorinda and Tisbe Eleonora Bellocci and Elena Serra, Alessandro Spina as Alidoro, as Angelina Cecilia Molinari.
