Alessandro Sciarroni | Save the last dance for me

The work Save the last dance for me by the award choreographer and dancer Alessandro Sciarroni was created in collaboration with Giancarlo Stagni, a Filuzziani dance master who has revived the ancient Bolognese tradition of Polka Chinata thanks to the rediscovery and study of some documentation videos. dating back to the 1960s. Alessandro Sciarroni discovered this dance in December 2018 when it was practiced in Italy by only 5 people. The project includes a performance performed by the two dancers and aims to spread and revive this popular tradition on the verge of extinction.
