A digital platform with a new look and new content, best able to convey the diversity of the activities of the Teatro Grande.
Opening the Opera and Ballet 2022 Season, on the 30th September at 8PM and on the 2nd October at 3.30PM (premiere reserved for students on the 28th September), Norma by Vincenzo Bellini, new production co-produced by the Theaters of Opera Lombardia and the Teatro Verdi of Pisa. The opera, marked by dark scenarios and strong contrast both in the content and in the music, has at its centre the female character, Norma, whose nature is strong and bursting, with many facets. The direction is entrusted to the female vision of Elena Barbalich, helped by Tommaso Lagattolla for scenes and costumes and Marco Giusti for the light design. The title role will be sung by the soprano Martina Gresia, while the other female role, Adalgisa, by Asude Karayavuz, mezzosoprano born in Turkey. Pollione, Roman proconsul, will be played by Antonio Corianò, while the protagonist’s father, Oroveso, by Alessandro Spina, expert of the Bellinian repertoire, who will have his debut in this role. The other characters, Flavio and Clotilde, will be played by Raffaele Feo and Benedetta Mazzetto. Conducting the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, the young but already appreciated conductor Alessandro Bonato.
