A digital platform with a new look and new content, best able to convey the diversity of the activities of the Teatro Grande.
Alcune coreografie brings dancer Ramona Caia into dialogue with a valuable and thoughtful work of video collection, editing and subsequent reworking of a range of dance types. The choreography is constructed through the mimesis of a multitude of video fragments edited in a tight sequence, rummaging through the history of dance and performance, traversing cinema and the Internet, in search of a sensitive kinetic matter. Divided into two distinct parts, Some Choreographies speaks of dance through dance and blends with it until it produces new images. The dancer embodies, transforms, connects and brings back to the present the body of the image, probes its dynamics, freedom and linguistic immediacy without a privileged point of view, eradicates it from the imaginary in the unfolding of exact choreography. The dance attempts to free itself from the force of the image, ceasing to refer to something else and beginning to refer only to itself. In the second part an original video by artist Roberto Fassone offers a sequence of visual choreography, a symbolic landscape where the human is absent but still seeks a relationship with the body on stage and reflects on that intangible matter of which dance is made.
