Aspettando la Stagione d’Opera

Aspettando la stagione d’Opera (Waiting for Opera Season) is an innovative proposal of Teatro Grande that moves up and draws the themes of 2016 Opera season. Three opera recitals, planned for April and May 2016, will be played by some young singers that have already worked with Teatro Grande, new voices and part of the cast of 2016 season.
The first recital, in memory of 400 years since Shakespeare’s death, will be completely dedicated to the English writer, inspiring of subjects, tales and characters of Opera world.
Two appointments are dedicated to “seduction”: in Opera literature – from Mozart to Puccini – this theme has been illustrated in several ways through irony, play, romanticism and pathos of female protagonists and love affairs, expressions of melodrama’s best pages.
