La Grande Notte del Jazz

A multi-year project intended to become a fundamental point whithin the artistic offer of Teatro Grande, as Festa dell’Opera, La Grande Notte del Jazz (The Great Night of Jazz) wants to celebrate and spread in one night and through several performances, the long tradition of hundreds of years old music common known as Jazz. The Night will be an occasion to see different, original and innovative points of view on the contemporary evolution and on nowadays movements of music research, without preventing any genre and style.

Jazz will invade the Theatre from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., turning it into a real Jazz city: Great Avenue, Salone delle Scenografie, Foyer, less common places as Sala delle Statue, the dressmaker room, balconies and galleries will be the setting for concerts, performances, encounters with artists, book presentations, dj sets, happening, laboratories for kids and listening guides.
