A date with the fate of the most reflective and telepathic of today’s jazz, where the art of taking away/ deprivation and that of listening are brought to levels of intensity and uncommon complicity.
“[Those between Maniscalco and Morgan] are meditated conversations, which delight in their minute collisions between notes as well as in the celebration of the moments in which they become a sublime unison”; this was the remark of the Anglo-Saxon specialised criticism of the album “Copenhagen Season”, made in Denmark in 2012 and containing the auditory documentation of the very first musical meeting between the two artists.
Almost five years after the last concert, the pianist from Brescia and the Californian double bassist finally return to perform in duo, in Italian premiere.
