Teatro Grande di Brescia

Ensemble del Teatro Grande

The Teatro Grande Ensemble’s 2024 season focuses on the figure of Ludwig van Beethoven. One of the ‘inventors’ of chamber music as we understand it today.

Beethoven also explored new and unexpected orchestral arrangements, such as the Septet Op. 20, a piece that was an immediate success in his new city, Vienna. The relationship with orchestral writing is evident, but in a chamber piece of this type the possibilities of counterpoint, lightness, and virtuosity are even more pronounced.
