Ensemble del Teatro Grande | Myung-Whun Chung

A special evening with the Ensemble del Teatro Grande from the Teatro Grande’s 2012 resident artist of excellence. Scheduled for a performance in the Sala Grande alongside the celebrated Maestro Myung-Whun Chung who has conducted many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, on this occasion playing piano in an unusual outfit for a concert of great interest. The concert, entirely dedicated to Johannes Brahms, includes the Trio in Si major for strings and piano, op. 8 and the Quintet in F minor for piano and strings, op. 34. Together with Maestro Chung the protagonists of the evening are Laura Marzadori and Daniele Richiedei (violins), Eugenio Silvestri (viola) and Sandro Laffranchini (cello), established musicians of the Ensemble del Teatro Grande.
