Small Choices

Small Choices is a chamber trio formed in 2011 by the bass player and composer Giacomo Papetti. This project involves both original compositions and “academic” music by Ligeti, Messiaen, Sibelius, Webern, Shostakovich, Gershwin, and so forth. Small Choices comes under the influence of the eccentricity of contemporary music on the one hand, and of the expressive consequences of a free jazz on the other one. It proposes unpredictable sonorities, and collective and individual plots contemporaneously.
