Take Off – Youtube

Double voices is a recent score by Mauro Montalbetto for TAKE OFF, the tight-knit group of young and established musicians that debuted in 2016 at Teatro Grande. The constant search of the composer, perpetually balanced between writing and improvisation, compete even in this occasion with traditional music forms. After the successfull Symphony for improvisers (2016), the new composition is inspired by double concert (particularly by Bach and Brahms): violin and doublebass are solists that dialogue with the ensemble in a poetical and viruosic path in five movements. The project is a new commission by Fondazione del Teatro Grande.
