Take Off

Third original project commissioned by the Fondazione del Teatro Grande to Mauro Montalbetti for Take Off, Songs and Interludes is a piece where the traditionals forms are rethought throughout sound architectures that are constantly hovering between improvisation and written structures. The presence of the voice significantly expands the expressive possibilities: where instrumental lyricism presents thematic fragments and changing sounds, the voice outlines wider and stylistically heterogeneous melodic profiles, in symbiosis with the visionary and intimate poems by Emily Dickinson.
