A digital platform with a new look and new content, best able to convey the diversity of the activities of the Teatro Grande.
The ensemble Take Off, born in 2016 thanks to a collaboration between the Teatro Grande of Brescia, composer Mauro Montalbetti and multi-instrumentalist and improviser Emanuele Maniscalco, plays from jazz to contemporary art music, from pop to experimentation, from rock to electronics. On the year of Bergamo and Brescia Capitale Italiana della Cultura, the ensemble is planning two important artistic residency projects one in Brescia and one in Bergamo. For the Brescia event we will see the ensemble perform with California singer, songwriter and composer Julia Holter and composer and multi-instrumentalist Tashi Wada. Although different in experience and scope, all the artists share a desire to challenge themselves through unconventional musical forms, between song and sound collage, minimalist echoes, jazz and chamber lyricism.
